Yun Jeong-Ui(b.1994) explores the relationship between sculpture as a final result and body as an object. He focuses on the discrepancies that arise between ‘body becoming sculpture’ and ‘sculpture becoming body’, investigating the tension revealed as the human form is transformed into material matter. He understands sculpture not as a fixed outcome, but as an ongoing state where sensation, perception, and material conditions intersect. Specifically, he employs his own body as a ‘mold for creating sculptures’, mediating the internal conditions encountered during sculpting process into the space surrounding the work. His research expands through the interactive relationship between the sculptor’s body, the model’s body, and the sculpture’s structure, reconstructing the spatial and sensory experience surrounding the work.

Yun’s solo exhibitions include Splitting, PCO, Seoul (2025) and Model, GCS, Seoul (2022). He has also participated in numerous group exhibitions, including Spectrosynthesis Seoul, Art Sonje Center, Seoul (2026); The 25th SONGEUN Art Award Exhibition, SONGEUN, Seoul (2025); The 7th Changwon Sculpture Biennale: Silent Apple, Changwon (2024); Bench Side, d/p, Seoul (2023); Monumental, Museumhead, Seoul (2023); and the two-person exhibition Platform 2, Interum, Seoul (2023).
