Kim Doyeon (b.1992) takes the way of how personal experiences are shared as the focus. Kim pays attention to how the experiences convey and how stories stay vital, by being interpreted and expanded in various ways according to their forms. Kim intends to revitalize the value of co-existence, including invisible elements through not only individual stories but also conversations among all living beings. Kim worked on a series of drawing as a form of response to the letter from one of the viewers. The artist also collaborated with an artist who shares similar experience towards human body. Main medium for the artist includes oil paintings with delicate, and wispy brush strokes or prints; Kim undergoes a stage of comprehensive and persistent drawing and expands a way of communication by including the artist’s stories or gestures.

Kim Doyeon has B.A. in Modern Art at Konkuk University, and M.A. in Fine Arts at Seoul National University of Science and Technology.
